Privacy Policy
How we handle personal information, aligned to the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or place an order, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, delivery address, email address and phone number. When you contact us we collect whatever you choose to include in that message. When you browse the site we collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring URL, through cookies and similar technologies.
We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Card data is captured and processed directly by our payment provider under their own security controls, and we receive only a transaction result and a truncated card reference.
2. Why we collect it
We use personal information to process and dispatch your order, to arrange delivery and resolve delivery problems, to respond to enquiries, to meet our record-keeping obligations, and to detect and prevent fraud. We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it for another organisation’s direct marketing.
3. Who we share it with
We disclose personal information to the carriers who deliver your order, to our payment provider to process your transaction, and to the IT and hosting providers who operate this website on our behalf. We may also disclose information where we are required or authorised to do so by law. Some of these service providers may store or process data outside Australia, and where that occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
4. Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies to keep your cart working, to keep you signed in, and to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function correctly if you do. Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the site and is not used to build a profile of you as an individual.
5. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure, including encrypted connections, access controls and restricting staff access to what is needed to do the job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep order records for as long as we need them for the purpose collected and to meet tax and business record-keeping obligations, then destroy or de-identify them.
6. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us through the details on our Contact page. We will respond within a reasonable period. If we decline a request we will explain why in writing.
7. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, which handles privacy complaints in Australia.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one, and it applies from the date it is posted.
This policy is a general template and should be reviewed by an Australian legal practitioner, and updated to reflect your actual payment provider, hosting arrangements and analytics tools, before you rely on it.
